The Chateau Monsarrat is an historic stone castle (for lack of a better word) that dates back to the 1930s. It’s located in a quiet part of Gatineau and is situated close to both the Gatinea Park and downtown Gatineau and Ottawa. It’s a picturesque venue for a wedding, with beautifully maintained grounds, diamond-shaped lead-paned windows and a fantastic wood staircase.
This is where Christiane and Yves were married, and after having spent nearly the entire day there i can safely say that it’s one of my favourite venues in the city. There is space for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready upstairs, and an intimate dining room for the reception. Recommended.
Christiane + Yves were married at the Chateau Monsarrat in Gatineau. They met while training as cadets, so we swung by the Armoury too 🙂
